The desire to work out comes and goes for me.
I have come to the conclusion that winter is just not my favorite time. The thought of getting up early when it is still pitch black dark and freezing outside doesn’t appeal to me. Thinking about working an 8 hour day and then booking it over to the gym at 5pm only to be surrounded by sweaty meat-head guys who smell like Axe cologne and body odor, not exactly motivating.
Don’t get me wrong, I still hit the gym about twice a week when I’m feeling SUPER motivated, but my recent go-to has been working out in the comfort of my glammed out apartment. (Would y’all wanna see an apartment tour one day?) I use the apps, 30 Day Fitness and Sworkit for easy morning workouts to get my blood pumping.
I always add some squats into the mix throughout the day. When I’m blow drying my hair, answering emails, brushing my teeth, etc.
A quick #MarniTip; Opting for the stairs instead of the elevator at work makes a huge difference. Little changes lead to big results.
As spring approaches I will post my outdoor and in the gym workout routines, favorite places to hike, and eating plans!
